I was born in Stockholm, Sweden
I´m painting in acrylic on canvas but am also making paintings using mixed techniques. In my work I often use sand collected from many different parts of the world.
On each painting where I use sand I let the sand from different parts of the world blend together - blending its different textures. When I´m painting I do not in advance decide what to paint or what colours to use. I just put paint on the canvas in many thin layers, allowing the painting gradually to develop step by step. Sometimes the motifs on my paintings are abstract, sometimes there are different kind of portraits.
I am mainly an autodidact and have studied painting under guidance of different artists. I am a teacher in Vedic Art.
For me art is not about reproducing it is about making visible. Life and art are one. |
