Michel Martinet was born on March 6, 1955 in Eyzies de Tayac in France.
He passes his childhood in this village, a prehistoric exceptional site. In the caves which conceal cave paintings, Martinet discovers as of its youth his need for artistic expression and in particular an attraction for painting. There he draws inspirations which will guide his creative course.
He studies in Périgueux, old Gallo-Roman city,he mets other artists,and other influences which pack hiss artistic gifts. He is devoted first of all to the original creation of pieces of furniture, but his unrest to create art never leaves this sensitive and gifted artist, completely autodicdacte and instinctive.He exposes in Paris, Bordeaux and in the Dordogne, his native province.
In the Eighties, he leaves France to go living on the Canary Islands where he is devoted with the sculpture and painting, he opens his workshop thereafter, offering to the public the extent of his abstract creations which sign all his work.
Today Martinet exposes in France but also in all Europe. |
